The creative forces behind Vintaj and the Art Bead Scene are bringing you an event not to miss!

Join us for four days of mixed media jewelry explorations with Heather Powers, Jess Lincoln, Erin Prais-Hintz and Candie Cooper. Create with metal, wire, clay, silk, resin, transfers and more during two full days of classes, plus a fun Progressive Make-and-Take. Our instructors have worked hard to bring you exciting techniques that will inspire you and encourage your muse to play.

Our adventure starts at the picturesque Chestnut Mountain Resort nestled in the hills in Galena, IL. overlooking the Mississippi River.  On our first day we will gather for a Meet & Greet with our students and instructors. Join in our retreat pendant swap and design contest. Explore the beautiful grounds before dinner at the resort and we'll gather in the evening for a creative Open Beading Session and shopping with your instructors.

On Thursday, get ready for our first day of classes. After digging into your mixed media jewelry projects and a delicious dinner at the resort, we'll gather again in the evening for  a presentation on design with Heather Powers and more beading!

On Friday, you'll take your third session of the 3 hour classes in the morning and followed with your fourth session in the afternoon.  After dinner, we'll have a ton of fun at our Pajama Bead Party - bring snacks to share, win fun door-prizes and make jewelry during this late-night open beading session.

On Saturday morning, lets all hang out! We’ll wrap up our event with a fun progressive make & take with your amazing instructors and farewell party. In the afternoon, enjoy extra time to explore Galena’s beauty and historic downtown. Have lunch at one of Galena’s many wonderful restaurants on Main Street, bead shop at Rustic River Finds, and visit La Luna - Vintaj’s beautiful new jewelry & gift shop, plus much more. Have a fun night out on the town or a relaxing dinner to wind down after many days of creativity.

Save the date and plan to join us!

The cost for the retreat is $375 for the four day event and includes four classes, progressive make-and-take with the instructors, gift bag with goodies from our sponsors, evening events, breakfast and lunch. *Not included: lodging, dinners, Saturday lunch and class kits.
